Hidden in Plain Sight: 1952 - Part one
“ It’s a riveting tale from start to finish and White’s nail-biting narrative whips along at a cracking pace, as he conjures a host of eclectic characters. A delightful mix that includes his young protagonist William and his Grandfather who harbours a disturbing past. A past that manifests in an age-old duel between good and evil and sets William on an unexpected quest which takes him from the peace of Amblefield to the murky depths of depravity.”

Hidden in Plain Sight: The Blackstones
Hidden in Plain Sight: 1952 (Part One) is an engaging and richly detailed blend of historical fiction and supernatural mystery. Peter Edward White expertly balances the tension between Andrew’s personal struggles, his growing friendships, and the dark, occult forces threatening to engulf him. The novel’s combination of well-drawn characters, historical context, and eerie intrigue makes it a compelling read for fans of both historical fiction and paranormal mysteries.
As the second book in the series, 1952 (Part One) not only expands the world introduced in The Blackstones but also deepens the characters’ development, making readers eager to see where their adventures will take them next.

Hidden in Plain Sight - 1952 - Part One
“A bit dark for me…
why can’t you write books with less blood & nicer endings? proud of you though.
Oh, and don’t forget it’s Alex’s birthday on friday.”
— Ann White (Pete’s Mum)
Peter Edward white
My name is Pete White, and my wife and I live in a little market town in the UK called Tring, Hertfordshire.
By day I'm a lighting technician in the TV and film industry, and by night I'm either playing in Bands or writing.
I caught Covid in January 2020 and had to take 10 days off of work.
It was at the height of the pandemic and lots of people were dying from this horrible virus.
Being type 1 diabetic myself, I was quite concerned.
I decided to take my mind off of what might or might not happen and woke up early one morning with an idea for a story.
Well, the start of one anyway.
Three days into it, writing had become a bit of an obsession and I wrote for 6-10 hours a day (much to my wife's frustration) and finished the first draft in just over a week.
That book is called..
Hidden in Plain Sight: The Blackstones
The book is about a student who is in his last year of university, and travels with his family to visit his grandparents in the country.
After spending some time with his grandfather, he is entrusted with a secret, something that happened whilst growing up in a post war London.
This changes everything for him and triggers a chain of events that could cost him his life.
I published it on the Amazon kindle KDP site on the 29th September 2022 and it is available now in paperback, or e-book for kindle or other devices with the kindle reader app.
